Breathalyzers

They don’t know what they are doing

Trapped inside and can’t get out

They want to escape but they can’t find the way

They regret their actions every single day

The seriousness of their consequences cause much grief

And they wonder why they walk in their sleep

The lives of many people taken away

By that person behind the wheel without a brain

We don’t need to put innocent people in danger

The ones who drive can test

Before they start their cars all they have to do

Is blow into the instrument to see the truth

Are they capable of turning the wheel

Or will they be too late

And commit the crime and kill

We need to take a step back

And open our eyes

And make a change

For better days.
