Breaking through the Fascade

Everyday is a new mission

In order to hide the pain that is beyond recognition

I don't want to let anyone in

I don't want anyone to see under my skin

My parents have separated when I was 16

I have lost the idea of love at the age of 16

Then a man comes along with a heart of gold

Challenging everything I have ever believed and been told

Reluctant I was and persistant he was

He stood by me through thick and thin just cause

Finally he made me a believer

that love could make me more than a griever

The light inside of me shines more than it has before

and he encourages it to be brighter more and more

What can I say?

God sent me an angel to make me who I am today
