Book Girl

If life is a book,

then in every cranny and every nook,

a heart is steadily beating,

a soul is continually searching

for its place on a bookshelf.

A place on a shelf assures a book

that it’s unique and desired

in the library of life.

Between an old dust-coated volume

and an infant novel

is a book that’s blue,

untouched, yet, not new.

This collection of paper within its blue cover

is a story written by me.

If life is a book,

then I am the author of mine

who has published hers for all to see.

But few take time to read

the story of an ordinary girl.

In my book I was born from words on page one.

A through Z, each letter is a piece of me.

Everyone soul has a story.a

My story is ever expanding

And ever changing.

New characters are introduced,

Plots evolve and conflicts arise.

Pain is endured

Sadness evoked.

Pleasure savored.

Elation experienced.

Every day and every night,

hundreds of letters are printed,

creating  my story.

Page      by Page

f o r e v e r a n d e v e r

my tale grows.

Each minute

moment

                      motion

produces one more

printed letter.

A letter

is a word

is a sentence

is a paragraph,

is a story

of

me.

A letter alone is a letter.

Letters together share stories that break

a common misconception: the belief

that one could be ordinary.

Being normal is

impossible.

Being original is

inevitable,

inescapable,

ineludible.

Being original is

my story.
