Blue Bay

Thu, 01/16/2014 - 20:04 -- Siobhan

How blue it is

Down by the bay

Its water smooth and clear

Such a lovely day

The ship is in

The tourists out

The coconut trees

Swaying gracefully about

Upon their tall backs

Climb orchids fair

Frilled and bright, pink and yellow

Like ribbons in a girls hair

Higher up here on this hill

The clouds have deepened hue

The greens are slightly darker and

The sky is much less blue

Comparing it to shadows

I gaze with longing at the bay

Yet now I work at college

And hope its nice another day
