In A Blink Of An Eye

Sitting on pins and needles in the passenger seat

Fearing the consequence they might meet

Swerving from left to right, calmly telling the love of her life to slow down

Heart racing, grip tightening, and her mind yearned to be safety on the ground

His eyes were low, lacking common sense, and feeling the urge to show his love

The sensational feeling of being buzzed was an all time high

Depriving his eyes from the road to deliver a kiss, saying everything's okay, turned out to be a lie

In just that moment from overlapping the center line

Bright lights blinded the couple causing their lively night to quickly resign

Cars clashing, windows shattering, and screaming for each others name

Over turned, he feels the warm blood dripping down his face as he reaches for her

Crying in agony, constrained in the car, knowing their fate with no help around

Bright yellow-red flames disburse, losing great amounts of blood, and unable to escape

Taking her hand, starring passionately into each others eyes, holding back the tears

Distracting one another's pain, not worried about anything, reminiscing the years

The couple said I Love You, breathing their last good-bye

Drinking and driving is idiotic child's play

At a blink of an eye, yourself or a loved one can vanish away

In the end we are all the same

Rich or poor, you lay six feet under, dirt, worms, and all

Everyone has that one moment taking their last breath upon this Earth

The difference in ones departure when the end in near

Is how we lived our life and the situation causing us to leave from this beautifully erratic world
