Blinded

Philippians 2:3

Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.

Vanity

Make a winner and built some pride; there is not enough of that

Although most of the problems are based on a lack of equality

Just go on thicken your precious hide make your character flat

For there are just some things that will polish your abnormality

A nation blinded by its goals moving forward with eyes shaded

Everything looks very vague until it is seen in a simple close-up

Being called for a special role through a conscience that’s faded

and it is spreading like a plague as through the blood of a turnip

Truth made up in one’s own mind and becomes the worst of idols

Lies are not then recognized in the chosen artificial that is adored

Thought of every kind are embroidered there on a mantle of folklore

that veils the very eyes of the ones whose souls are relentlessly gored
