I said "Its beautiful"

"What"he replied
"This tree"
"It's just a tree", he said
But in it I saw the ways of life intertwined and the heart beats of the life it sustained
The caring nature of that tree
Providing shade for the kids at play
And when spring came it blessed us with the beauty of its bloom
And when winter appeared it provides us warmth capturing frame by frame a families memories between the crackles of the flame
It was the essence of life itself
But, "it was just a tree," he said
Just like he told me , "I was just a girl"
