Blank

blank papers, blank emotions,

blank feelings, everything is blank

lines are nothing, meaningless breaks in what I use,

to try to be free, to try and escape,

I can never escape, it’s not that simple,

you shouldn’t be identified as something you’re not

and you shouldn’t get credit for something

you didn’t work hard for, you are a liar,

you don’t have emotion,

you don’t have breaks, all you are is blank,

they say if you can’t stand the heat,

get out of the kitchen, but you’re holding the key

to the door I must walk through

I want to be free, I just want to be me,

it’s not that simple
