Black is Dark

They say that black is always dark,

But the liquid that flows from my pen is black as the midnight sky.

Yet it is the only torch in the depths of despair

that plague my life.

Black is light.

The greatest light.

Giving hope when everything else has been silenced.

It gives me the voice to say things that otherwise I would be to afraid to ever mouth.

Black is my glue.

Holding the pieces of my shattered soul together so at the end of the day I can say

I'm fine.

I live in the shadows of black.

Speaking the great works and speeches that it helped me create.

I frolic in the dark black sea of ink

watching words fished out.

one by one

creating powerful imagery that could make a blind man see.

Lines so light hearted and joyous thatit could make even the most hardened criminal giggle as if he were a young school girl.

Creating sermons and speeches so great that they can take a man on the brink of death because of sheer isolation and make him feel as though he has a home.

They say that black is dark.

But it is my greatest light.o here)
