Black

i slide it across my wrist

showing some brightness to my dark life

my heart races

as the pain deepens

i cry out, but not in misery

but for the numbness taking over

i gasp for breath

as tears fill my eyes

the salt water on my lips

the only sign left of pain

i pull myself up

out of the steaming water

i reach for my only hope

the blade

once again i run it across

this time longer, deeper than before

pain skips me this time, though

and more numbness takes over

i cry as the blood drips into my bath of tears

staining the cleaness, turning it black
