Bipolar

I feel this twisting in my stomach,
I fight to keep a straight face.
Secretly I wonder,
Do you feel the things I do?
The same desires?
No, you don't.
You don't feel the urges of another inside you-
One so very like you,
Yet so very different.
Someone who looks just like you.
You look just like them.
"Twins?" You ask.
Perhaps, I say.
Perhaps.
Perhaps something went wrong,
During the first few months of conception?
Somehow our minds were merged,
Melted together,
Into one body.
Yes, we have the same eyes and hair,
The same nose and smile.
Some may call us twins,
If they are out of their minds  too.
But for those of you who aren't,
You will never understand the companionship,
The friendship,
The fights,
The tears,
And blood,
Behind bipolar disorder.
