A Better Place

Mon, 02/03/2020 - 22:55 -- Karla11

Sitting and staring off into space

Wondering and thinking of a better place.

Wishing, hoping, dreaming too

Of a better place for me and you.

A perfect palace free of peril.

A palace so clean and sterile.

Everyone feels like they belong,

Beinng able to fix the wrong.

No one care about what you wear,

The size of your body, or the length of your hair.

You can be what you want,

No one wanting to flaunt.

Go ahead and laugh at my dreams,

For they run deeper than any stream.

You won't offend me if you laugh.

For your dreams just collect staph.

So I sit and wonder what will come,

Knowing that I may look dumb.

But I don't care because I have hope,

And that alone will help me cope.
