The Best Thing

Dear User,

From this point on, your name shall not be said,

It doesn't deserve to be embedded in anyone's head

You fooled me thinking that you were the one.

But you got what you wanted and now you’re done.

Ya know, I thought that we had something special,

But truly, I was in a frivolous relationship with the devil.

I let your soothing words get the best of me,

By pulling me into a pit entirely dreary.

I sold to you my innocence

And as payment, I received only guiltiness.

You neglected me, for your friends,

And a dark-skinned girl, who was about 4’10.

While you had your new girl by your side,

I was trying to pick up the pieces that you left behind.

I’d hoped that you would come back again,

But It seemed as if, that was the end.

Was this your disgusting objective from the start?

To swindle your way, into my heart?

I thought I meant something to you, you said you loved me!

But your words meant absolutely nothing.

Your freaking pathetic, you wouldn’t even talk to me!

You ignored my messages, knowing that you were blameworthy.

After three days, you finally spoke,

But you responded as if everything was a joke

What am I, some sort of game to you?

Did our relationship mean anything to you?

I spent many days crying, for what?

Your were nothing but an oversexed mutt!

You had me think that you were different from the rest,

But you might’ve just won the “world's biggest manipulator contest”.

Ooo, I wanted you to pay, I wanted you to suffer,

But I've been taught well by my gracious grandmother.

She’s told me, never to wish on anyone’s pain,

Just let time go by and let God do his thang.

Every night I prayed for the suffering to go away.

And wished that one day you realize you should've stayed.

In the beginning, I was clueless, but now in the end I finally see,

That you were the best thing, that never happened to me.
