Believe

John 4:9-10                New English Translation

9 So the Samaritan woman said to him, “How can you—a Jew—ask me, a Samaritan woman, for water to drink?” (For Jews use nothing in common with Samaritans.)

10 Jesus answered her, “If you had known the gift of God and who it is who said to you, ‘Give me some water to drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”

I know your life and I know your ways

It is like an open book

Tell your friends and the one, who stays

By your side for a second look

The fountain of Life, Living water,

Comes only through the True One

Drink of this and never thirst again

To be changed from now to then on

John 7:37-38              New English Translation

Teaching about the Spirit

37 On the last day of the feast, the greatest day, Jesus stood up and shouted out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me, and 38 let the one who believes in me drink. Just as the scripture says, ‘From within him will flow rivers of living water.’”

“Believe in me”, Jesus said, “just believe”

But my unbelieve seems so much greater

Help me Lord with my unbelieve today

Fill it up with your Word and with your letter

For with two hands, I'm barely hanging on

Always in the know, but not for the better
