Behind these blue eyes are much more than you know

Smiling, twinkling, and glowing is not always what they show

Yet you will not see that as far as i'm concerned

For I hide the pain,

the pain that burns.

I always try to be happy and show you the right road

but, sometimes, it, is so hard to follow.

Life twists and turns and tries to coil,

but these blue eyes hide the toils.

I avoid the past because it is all just blasphemy,

Its not worth the struggle or reliving a tragedy,

These eyes are focused on what is to come, 

forget the past and just move on. 

Now you may never know what really goes on,

behind these blue eyes life will go on.
