Behind the Mask

The mask I wear

is what the world sees

when they look at me.

I have much to hide,

the quiet girl

losing her pride.

No one knows

the pain that she hides

from losing loved ones below.

For a girl so lonely

she has such a dark side

from being the freak only

Not much more to say

except that

my mask will stay
