Behind the Curtain

I see, you see, we all see, what you think
Traped in a body I can't call my own
Thinking in a process that's not mines alone
Covered in a mass that looks like your reflection
Who am I, a question that has no detection

Shadows move freely in the mist of the dark
Approval for love that strikes more than hearts
Do as you ask obedience Is a must
Surrender yourself for possible trust

Show no tears conserve your heart
Don't laugh too much and play your part
Don't be concerned he does what he wants
And into the night a damzel he will hunt

But I keep my composure to keep his approval
For deep in my heart I don't want to loose him
But sometimes love is but one road
And it hurts to travel this road alone

The sun will rise when shadows are bound
Reflections will bounce my smile will frown
When I see that I am all that I'm not
To love someone who loves me not

I am not selfish my heart loves in wholes
I cry to relive the pain in my soul
I laugh for beauty shines through my smile
To fight for true love I'll run for miles

The sun sets free is truly free indeed
And In my heart I plant a new seed
To grow in truth and be loved you see
Behind the curtain I present to you me
