Beguiled 2 ...

1 Peter 2:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)

Our Inheritance through Christ’s Blood

Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

Beguiled

Nothing much to report but to go on with living

Counting blessings are replaced by some metaphor

Amazing that in moments changes appear thro giving

To move us out of a dimension that we hunger for

Meditation is not intertwined with imposed illusion

Somewhere the flesh seeks domination with priority

It will not tolerate rest unless it profits in conclusion

As it will not give up influence in beguiling seniority

A battle rages silently without great commotion

The flesh entrenched everywhere where the Spirit roams

Now we have to die to self in a desired devotion

As it bombards with thought our uncertainties all alone

Feelings and emotions are the strong pillars of the flesh

Just add to that the mind with the “will” mostly in tow

It enhances every moment to destroy serenity’s best

As a many bad experience through our memory flows

We think we can overcome this dying entity

Give me a break and let us admit we haven’t a clue

Intelligence and discoveries are our dependency

We really are some winners, blinded and aloof

We celebrate our freedom clanging our shackles

We sing our songs of joy with only love for self

We dance and jump constantly as the grave chuckles

At the carvings on our headstone that we try to sell
