Because I love you (to myself)

Because I love you

I take my time

To grow

To learn

To unwind

For my skin

I go outside

Lay in the sun and let my melanin shine

For my eyes

I rest for eight hours

So you don't have to carry extra baggage

Left that man that was causing havoc

Learned you can't live life-based on attraction

Because I love you

I stare in the mirror and smile

I admire my small eyes with the wide nose in between

I see my full figure that shows

I'm full of love, hope, and peace

Because I love my physical

I can finally love me
