Because I Love You, He Said.

Becasue I love you, he said,

when I asked him why?

Because I love you, he said,

when he made me cry.

Because I love you, he said,

when he told me what to wear.

Because I love you, he said,

"It's only 'cause I care."

Because I love you, he said,

When he told me what to do.

Because I love you, he said,

When he told me who to talk to.

Because I love you, he said,

When I felt just like his toy...

He should have been a man,

Not a little boy.

Treat me like your equal,

Like neither of us is better.

And our whole life,

We could have been together.

Communicate, respect, and over all be kind.

Make me feel like I'm the only woman on your mind.

...Becuase I love you, he'd say,

But because I love ME...

I walked away.
