I catch a glimpse of your dimples when you laugh,

Thinking to myself,

Why are you still here?

I watch as you water the garden we planted together,

Thinking to myself,

Why are you still here?

I hear you tell me you love me when I'm having a meltdown,

Thinking to myself,

Why are you still here?

I feel you hold me close to you when I'm lashing out in anger,

Thinking to myself,

Why are you still here?

I sit in silence and cry as you clean up the broken glass from my behavior,

Thinking to myself,

Why are you still here?

I finally ask you through the tears

You do so much for me,

Why are you still here?

"Because I love you."
