They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder
But I say beauty is shown as we get older
Through the wrinkles that line our face
With such a elegance and grace
Our youth begins to fade
And we eventually begin to show our age
Our hair turns from a radiant sun shine gold
To hair full of white snow
Even though our looks begin to fade
We grow more beautiful each day
It teaches us that beauty is more than skin deep
And we begin to speak
About the knowledge that we have gained and then we begin to preach
How every wrinkle that lines our face
Has its own little place
That tells the stories of our past and how they became
Our age will eventually seal our fate
And we will be lowered in the grown with such grace
But just remember as you get older
That beauty isn't just in the eye of the beholder
