The Beautiful People

The beautiful people are not the ones in magazines, portrayed through an acting role, or the "Instagram Hotties".

The beautiful people are not those graced with desirable hereditary traits.

The beautiful people are not a size two.

The beautiful people are not conceited.

The beautiful people are humble.

Wise.

Accepting.

Understanding.

Helpful.

So what if that girl weighs 300 pounds?

Perhaps she has a thyroid problem, or maybe an eating disorder?

Did you ever stop and think about that?

Did you ever think she could be happy with herself no matter how she looks?

Who gives a damn if that guy wants to be in a relationship with another dude?

Maybe he was abused by a woman, but who are you to judge?

"God hates fags."

I'm sorry, are you God himself?

That girl dressed in black that you call "Emo", you assume she cuts herself.

Maybe her favorite color is black, or she has self esteem issues.

Instead of whispering about what lies beneath her sleeves or what thoughts run amok in her head,

why don't you say "Hi!"

Put yourself in the shoes of the beautiful people. Maybe you would understand them.
