Beautiful Majesty

For one, I know who you are

You are the child of a mother,

The breath from another,

The being of a world.

Created you were before time on earth began

Formed at once, before your mother’s womb

The child of a man and a woman’s love

More than a though on paper.

But do you know who I may be?

The one whom carved the mountains?

The one whom spoke the light?

One who truly made you?

I know who you are

But have you any clue who I may be?

What is there to be said besides “Hello”?

Do I say “I love you”?

Perhaps “I like you”?

Would it have made a difference if I chose to compliment you first?

After all, you catch bees using honey not vinegar.

If I just said “hello” before you would that have made an impact?

Friend…

would it be okay if I spoke to you for more than five minutes.

If I had…

would you have not taken your own life?

This poem is a dedication to someone from my ninth grade year of high school that took their life. They are missed terribly.
