The Bearer of the Caduceus

Bearing the torch of knowledge,

Casting the light of compassion,

Into lands darkened with illness.

Like a candle transferring its ilght,

Awakening a new shine,

In the dull eyes of the sick,

Healing hands cut and scarred,

Touching hearts dark and fearful.

The bearer of the Caduceus goes forth,

Brave, selfless, with no weapons but her medicine,

And her mind.
