To Be Yours

Hand in hand,

heart by heart,

Bodies intertwined.

You were the wind beneath my wings,

but now you've left me to fall, bones broken

and alone I will stay until my

grave has been dug

You said you'd come back for me

you left your clothes here,

but where is their owner?

you left your food here

but where is their eater?

You are but a ghost in the haunted places of my heart,

and I must let you fly free.
