To Be Heard- Father, Daughter

Location

When I write, I write for you. I write hours upon hours to try and get your attention, like someone trying to make it in Hollywood. I shouldn’t have to fight for your attention because we were genetically programed to love each other, unconditionally. I can’t seem to find the words to say aloud so I write them down nice and proud. It’s been 20 years and you still haven’t been there in which the way you should, I for sure thought by now that you would. I often ponder how you could ever to this me, how you could ever abandon your own daughter? Because when I write, I write for you and sometimes I wonder if you write for me too.
