To be absent

Job 8:11 New English Translation (NET Bible)

11 Can the papyrus plant grow tall where there is no marsh?
Can reeds flourish without water?

One of the great gifts today … paper for writing and printing …

Here we go on a fresh page from pulverized wood made by a machine

Now I’ll write some borrowed thoughts of things that are or might have been

Blue lines on a white background as black-ink moves between the lines

Words slowly form in straining harmony to make appear that all is fine

“Peace on earth – Goodwill to man”, It’s now Christmas Season

Folks at home know that they can enjoy the bills like it is treason

It surely feels so good to give in a world that loves receiving

“To share with all”, the reason to live and sop our old nature deceiving

A great time of the year called: Christmas. A time to realize the purpose of all

Maybe a gift unmeasured in a cast that renews the Graceful message and call

A moment in time that’s hidden in the heart and that’s set aside for the nearly sublime

Who is waiting for the moment, when called, to be absent from body and mind?
