Battles of Education I

She's not sure which matters

So as voices of conciousness and wisdom enter

They only glide across her ears

inquire at the door of logic's acceptance

and are silently lead through the corridor

reason's elixir covers their feet

and dictions sinks in,

losing legs, now hips, then stomachs

They revel in ectasy

This is where they're meant to be

And suddenly God opens the door and they look away,

Blind and helpless, they tumble from the portal,

Dispering, only remnants of their meaning splatter the walls.
