Barrel Racing

You stand back and wait for your chance to shine.

You watch as rider after rider makes their run,

Preparing yourself and your steed to be divine.

Everyone keeps telling you, "just do it for fun!"

You know the truth though.

You do it for the thrill.

You would never go slow!

As it comes closer to your turn, you feel a trill

It sends shivers down your spine.

The girl before you goes thundering to first!

You know you'll be fine,

But you're ready to burst.

Finally it's your go,

Now let's turn and burn!
