Backwards

Proverbs 24:11

11 Deliver those who are drawn toward death,
And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.

Let us go on backwards ... it’s senseless where we’re going

Confusion is our vehicle and it never runs out of gas

The cheapest way to travel ... it’s all my own doing

I’ll drag others with me and I won’t let any pass

With a roadmap upside down I don’t have to unfold it

Driving from dawn till dusk so I won’t be seen

I’m dressed up like a clown ... my nose red and molded

My wants directed by lust and girded by the unclean

We’ve come a long way baby ... we never left depravity

It just appeared like it that we were getting a little better

Maybe life is just a mime that in silence leads to calamity

As we like spectators trying to exist by the latter
