Aurora's Dream Within a Dream

Aurora was born and never told her own story

Held by three fairies and sang with a voice of glory

Living less of a queen

Only to die by the age of sixteen

Without a prince charming

She couldn't run from fate

Even on her dying day

She slept until her prince came

Wearing a cape of red and coming to see her in the bed

To only hope that she would wake up

And they soon would be wed

But happily ever after was engraved in her head

And then she woke up

And was fifteen all over again

She dreamt of a man and the happiness of a lifetime

And believed her dream within a dream

That could be real

But was concealed

By a fantasy

Reality isn't much like the ones we have in our minds

And we wake up and we feel like we've lost a chunk of time

Aurora dreamt of love

A kind of love that she could not find

Behind the walls of a castle

That had only confined

Her body, but not heart nor mind

What if Aurora was sleeping all this time

What if it was all a lie
