Astronomical Love

Sat, 10/20/2018 - 02:33 -- Stosar

The limitless space has a way of making you feel hopeless

Earth’s gravity pulls you, compels you

Its gentle tug is enough for you to let go, dropping your items one by one

And space recends

It's only you and the mass

One pulling, and one falling apart

You watch as your Sense floats away

It tugs on your mind, spilling the others who were able to hold on

Your Will is suspended arms length from you

It waits, wondering if you’ll fight for it

But your blank eyes tell nothing, and it creeps away

The beautiful Earth

The crown jewel of the planets

Your items have left you, but you’ve gained something better

And it’s so close

Hours

Minutes

Seconds

Earth

But it is not as it seemed

The atmosphere rejects you

And leaves you with nothing
