Ashes of the Phoenix Pt. 4: Death Will Be Death

I have lived millions of lives

I’ve seen people saved

people left for the flies

I have been a hundred faces

explored the world

seen so many places

I have been a thousand mothers

caressing and raising children

from autumns ‘til summers

I have lived trillions of years

seen the greatest of victories

and the greatest fears

And with every breath,

all these lives, years, and faces

one thing I’ve learned

is that death will be death.
