Artificial Love

Come live with me and be my love,

Sweet talk is cheap

And gifts are just as sad.

You and I both know that this

Will almost never last.

There is a will and a way,

But my way is not with you.

You say you offer me

The world on a silver platter,

But let’s be honest…

Your expectations are

Exasperatingly annoying

And full of lies,

Crushed hopes, and

Fading sanity.

So, leave me in my peace

For you and I will never…

Never be…

You say that you love me,

But do you really?

I think you are in love

With the idea,

But in reality

The fantasy quickly fades

And leaves the both of us…

Near broken.
