The Art of Orpheus

To create is his only wish

His only dream, his only desire

To move people with emotion, sound, and color

The very things he so beautifully arranges

But she is not just a beautiful thing

She is a beautiful love

She is his beautiful love

She is his, as he is hers

Orpheus marvels at the work

he so diligently produces

Under the lights,

in front of the camera

His love the center of attention

Eurydice looks up at him

Her cheeks as roses

Her skin glowing

Under those bright iridescent lights

She will give him a wink

He fulfills his wants and desires

Through placing his figurines

His characters

On stage where he knows best

But he fulfills his soul

By making his love

The center of it all
