The Arsonist

Location

I let you down, and in return your burned it down

to the ground

and the sounds of sirens blaring,

and you're standing and you're staring

at flames. How did you think this would go?

What if I didn't say no?

I'd be in the cell across from yours.

I wouldn't be here at the shore.

You know, you could be here too

but you always craved something new.

I don't blame you, it's fun

but it's done.

Not our connection though, that lasts;

Especially from the past.

Just know I'm here,

constantly in fear,

but I'm here.
