I do not truly hate the sun
I wish for its arrival
when my bones beg for warmth,
but I don't know what to say
because the sun shines too bright
& the earth becomes hot
like flames were sent from heaven,
flames the season brought.
but then the sun's presence is
too little,
or not at all.
and my body shakes;
it misses the sun
& asks for a second chance
but some days the sun is just
but unfortunately,
when the sun is
something else must go
& I hate to say it,
but you are
the sun
to me.
