Appreciation for self ...

Galatians 3:3

Are you so foolish? Although you began with the Spirit,

are you now trying to finish by human effort?

The old creation that is in me ... the old self I mean.

The natural: body and soul … they are never free.

It does not mind the good I do … it lets me preach and sing

with prayer and bible study … so to worship God, The King.

My “old” creation is so good … it will never submit to Him.

as long as it is permitted … to be active and live within.

My flesh remains unshaken … in the belief of its own ability

and so serving God in flesh … not seeing the futility.

“Leading” people to Christ through “flesh”, fills it with satisfaction

and so from truly …  misplacing the gift of redemption.

To its own glory then if possible … would change God’s Grace

misleading the one so brought to God … to misunderstand His Place.

As God starts to change me … through His Spirit and transformation,

and as my will roams and decides … for its hungered destination

myself crept in unaware … as I thought it to be of His Making.

so I credit the Lord for my vision … and blessings I’m taking.

I stumble on happy doing “His” will … blind as a bat so truth to “kill”.

My own destination and self-trust … will help me serve fully … that is a must.
