Applying For Scholarships At Work

Late at night

sipping coffee

bleary -eyed.

Can't take anymore

of these endless searches.

My computer screen

it dances

it blurs

as I blink.

My life.

All it comes down to

is this:

Class, work, class.

Squeeze in a nap.

Apply, Apply, Apply

Need the scholarships,

all the grants.

Any and all assistance

that I can get.

So that I never

never again

Have to work

every night

21 days in a row

and go to class

and take my exams

and work

Help me,

I'm drowning.
