Anxiety

It crawls around the cobwebs of our minds.

It creeps into the forgotten universe of yesterday and the forbidden city of tomorrow.

Sometimes it can lay a single egg.

And when that egg hatches, it erupts into a hive of crawlers that swarm the very thoughts that used to burn off these creatures.

It overwhelms us, it surrounds us.

It becomes us
