Anti-Subterfuge

Location

As I walk

These tear-stained halls--

These blood-filled walls

Of my heart,

It's a start,

It's a chance,

It's my final stance

To start something new.

These crowded byways,

Comparable to highways;

Social interaction flutters,

But hopefully in my days,

I look to steer--

No, commandeer--

This vessel and be still with you.

Although this confusion--

This slight delusion--

Has locked the column with which I steer,

I will keep my promise,

I will seek the solace

That with you is truly delightful.
