Anonymous

Some dreams we have while we're awake.

Our eyes wide open

And ever-hoping

To avoid those things that reality brings--

Those fearsome, crippling quakes

All have their quirks and their secrets:

Their something to keep

Or, throw to the deep

So that no-one will know that the truth is so cold.

On Anonymous I'll place my bets.

"I'll put on a mask (a beautiful one)

For all to see

And think is me!

And to hide what's inside

So Anonymous could be anyone!"

We faceless won't let the other ones see

Who we really are

Or our hearts which are scarred

By our pasts and our tears and our futures for fear--

No, we have no fears;

Our tears are all gone.

We'll put back on the mask,

And we'll be anyone.
