An Angel's Journey

Every night,
She sits on her bed
Replaying their words as a movie in her head
Her green eyes growing lifeless as time fades
They wander up and down
Her twig like arms
Only taking notice to the surfaced hatred
Her cold fingertips take notice of the icy blade
Her heart slows just as her pulse stops
The blade fumbles with her veins one last time
As an internal war is conflicted
The will of dying is far greater than that to carry on
The walls around her cave in as dirt piles next to the open casket
Her clenched knuckles cradle her lifeline and anchor
This angel's body will never see the gates of heaven
For her pain was far too great
And in the end,
She committed the ultimate sin-death
