Angelic not so Angelic

We were the best of friends, two peas in a pod as some say.

We spent everyday together, noons of laughter and music;

We shared shoes, copied expressions, dyed each others' hair,

You were willing to let me ink you, with the Stick 'n' Poke kit you had.

We were family, you came to my sister's wedding and rode in her Bridal car.

We danced and we sang, we made memories that still make me smile today;

You trusted me with sensitive family issues, and I respected your family's privacy.

We loved each other, wrote each other letters, even taught you how to make your clothes.

We spent many birthdays together, grew into our teens together, went through changes together;

We became more rebellious, though I more cautious than you.

You said you loved me;

You said I was everything to you, yet you interrogated me, alienated me for my beliefs.

You disrespected me, you called me a coward, on one occasion told me to jump off a cliff.

All I did was stand up for myself, finally seeing your snake eyes.

I cut all contact with you, and when your family worsened, you realized your shoulder to cry on was gone.

I hope that you got something out of our friendship, because I did;

I learned is that true love is about respect, and though you tried to defame me afterwards,

I still wish you the best, you psychotic b****.
