Angel Wings

See the feathers glistening gold

See her eyes, so wise and old

Her young body disfigured and hurt

Several holes dotting her polks-dot shirt

Her shining soul pouring out of her chest

All because a man touched her breast

She resisted and asked him not to go there

Scattered on the floor were pieces of  hair

She slapped his arm and tried to leave

But was stopped short by a hand on her sleeve

Scared by the gleam in his eye,

She shouted for help, but no one heard her cry

Far away in the distant sky, just a soul passing in the night

She struggled and screamed, putting up a fight

Evil laughter echoed as the pain increased

Hit after hit until her breathing ceased

The attacker was quiet, catching his breath,

until he realized the silence of death.

eyes widening, he choked and flew back

speeding away through the cul-de-sac

trying to forget what he had just done

to the woman he thought was the one
