Anew

I’m breaking.

Snapping in two like a pencil gripped two hard

Scarred, like I stepped on a piece of glass

Thinner than a blade of grass

Trapped inside my fingertip

Then I slip

Smashing into the wall I’ve built

It tilts, then tumbles down

Bricks and mortar and sweat and blood

Become undone

Means I have to start anew

Again. Means I have to prove myself again

Means I have to make new friends

No manual this time

No here’s-how-to-win cheat sheet to read
