America's Spider Web

Location

The corruption hides,

Deep in the spider veins of the woman.

She's taunted by her neighbors,

Yet she cares for all of them.

She wears clothes of sin,

Of color and fabrics of the world.

The fabrics do not bond and are sometimes

Unable to be sewn,

Yet she allows the fabrics to conceal her.

Despite her creation from force and brutality,

She seems to be holding strong.

Despite her neighbors remarks,

They come to her for peace.

She is a true beauty now that she is grown.

This is what America means to me.
