American Daydream
The light that glows upon my face keeps me warm
Each day I am reminded of the fraying fraying fabric
Instead, I let the glare illuminate my face for hours
Instead, I let it captivate me; it is my best friend
Instead, I shun the obvious
Until the obvious is indistinguishable
It is an addiction
One I may never conquer
I believe that it has become so ingrained
That the light has become apart of myself.
