Hello,

Welcome to America.

Won't you please come in?

Not the one in your borchure, though.

Not the land of the free, home of the brave, land of opportunity.

Well...

Perhaps it is.

You are free, after all.

Perfectly free to be profiled

To have all kinds of hate thrown at you.

This is the land of opportunity.

There are plenty of opportunities to get stopped and searched

Plenty of opportunities to be wrongly accused

To be hated

To struggle

To almost lose hope

And home of the brave?

The brave are living in the ghettos

The slums and cardboard boxes.

The brave are those who endure because they have no other choice.

They are the roses, struggling to grow in this concrete jungle.

Once you're in, there's no getting out.

Hello,

Won't you please come in?

I'd just like to share that one of the lines towards the end was a nod to Tupac'sThe Rose That Grew From Concrete.

I hope those who read this enjoy it!
